Introduction 

The Examination for the post of Jharkhand Assistant Prosecution Officer (ADPPO) shall be conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC).

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Educational Qualification 
    • Candidates must hold a Law Degree (LLB) that qualifies them for advocacy practice in courts. 
    • A computer operation certificate is mandatory.

Special Notes: 

  • Jharkhand Women Candidates (General Category) must submit a local residence certificate to claim age relaxation. 
  • Women candidates from other states will be considered General Category candidates without any relaxation. 

Stage of Examination 

The Jharkhand APO recruitment process consists of three stages: 

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) 
  2. Main Examination (Descriptive & Subjective) 
  3. Interview (Personality Test)

Regional Language Test 

Candidates must choose one regional language from the following for a 100-mark test: 

  • Santali 
  • Mundari 
  • Kharia 
  • Ho 
  • Kudukh 
  • Nagpuri

Minimum Qualifying Marks for Language Paper: 

  • General: 40% 
  • BC-I: 36.5% 
  • BC-II: 34% 
  • SC/ST/Women: 32% 

Important Note: 

  • Language Paper marks will not be included in the final merit list, but candidates must pass this paper. 

Interview (Personality Test) 

  • Marks: 50 
  • Candidates will be selected for the interview in a 1:3 ratio (3 times the total vacancies). 
  • Final selection is based on: Main Exam Marks + Interview Marks 
  • In case of a tie, older candidates will be given preference. 

Reservation Policy 

  • Only permanent residents of Jharkhand can avail of reservation benefits. 
  • Candidates must provide a valid caste certificate issued by a Deputy Commissioner/Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO). 

Special Categories 

  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Must have 40% or more disability and provide a medical certificate. 
  • Ex-Servicemen: Must submit relevant service records. 
  • Jharkhand Government Employees: Those with 3+ years of continuous service get 5 years of relaxation.
