Target CLAT for 2025

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

Consortium of NLUs, which consists of 24 NLUs.

The online enrolment for CLAT 2025 will start from the first week of July (2024) and end by the first week of November (2024).

Fees for CLAT Application:

• General/OBC/PWD/NRI candidates: Rs 4,000/-
• SC/ST/BPL category candidates: Rs 3,500/-

The examination date is set for December 1, 2024 and the exam is scheduled to take place from 2 PM to 4 PM.

The exam is conducted offline in pen paper mode.

Student who have passed the Class XII with minimum 45% marks for general category and 40% for reserved category are eligible. However, the students appearing for boards are also eligible provided they produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which student would lose their seat for admission.

The CLAT exam consists of multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. The exam duration is 2 hours.

The candidate is awarded 1 mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

There are several reputed colleges which accept CLAT scores for admission. For example: University of Delhi, Indraprastha University, Jindal Global Law School, Lloyd Law College Dehradun, etc.

A student can appear for AILET, SLAT, JMI-ET, MH-CET Law, Christ-ET, ILSAT etc. to study in a prominent law university in India.

CLAT indeed demands thorough preparation, as it assesses a candidate's comprehension and analytical skills across various subjects. Starting preparation in the 11th grade allows students to build a strong foundation in key areas such as English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and Legal Aptitude.
