UP APO 2025 Eligibility and Age Limit 

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Law Degree from any recognized University by the last date for receipt of the application. 
  • Preferential Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have served a minimum of two years in the Territorial Army or have obtained a "B" certificate of N.C.C. 
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 40 years as of July 1, 2025. This means they must have been born no earlier than July 2, 1985, and no later than July 1, 2004. 
  • Age Relaxation: 
    • Scheduled Castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled players of U.P., and certain government employees: Upper age limit is relaxed by five years. 
    • Physically handicapped persons of U.P.: Maximum age limit is 55 years; they must not have been born before July 2, 1970. The upper age limit is relaxed by fifteen years. 
    • Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Officers/Ex-Army Personnel of U.P.: Upper age limit is relaxed by three years plus the period of service rendered in the Army.

Important Instructions and General Instructions for UP APO 

  • One Time Registration (O.T.R.): It is mandatory for candidates to obtain an O.T.R. number 72 hours before submitting their online application. 
  • Online Application: The application can only be submitted online through the commission's website, https://uppsc.up.nic.in. 
  • Required Documents: Candidates must keep soft/hard copies of all information related to their application stages. Hard copies of the online application and self-attested copies of mark sheets and certificates must be sent to the commission only when asked for. 
  • Minimum Efficiency Standard: The minimum efficiency standard is 35% for SC and ST candidates and 40% for other categories in both the Preliminary and Main examinations. Candidates securing less than these marks will be disqualified. 
  • Caste Certificates: In the case of women candidates, the caste certificate issued from the father's side will be considered valid.
