Why These Changes in UP APO Vacancy Matter?
The updated scheme shows UPPSC’s intent to align the APO recruitment process with India’s new criminal law ecosystem. With IPC, CrPC, and the Evidence Act replaced by BNS, BNSS, and BSA, aspirants must shift their preparation accordingly.
The addition of General English in mains further ensures that APOs are equipped with strong communication skills. A 150-mark prelims guarantees a rigorous screening process, while the 500-mark mains tests both depth of legal knowledge and broader competencies.
