The Uttar Pradesh Assistant Prosecution Officer (UP APO) exam is one of the most sought-after legal service examinations in the state. While law subjects form the backbone of the paper, General Knowledge (GK) is equally crucial. In fact, GK carries a weightage of 50 marks in the Prelims and is also tested in the Mains (descriptive paper). Many aspirants, despite being strong in law, struggle with GK due to its vastness and unpredictability.

The good news? With a clear understanding of the syllabus, the right sources, and a smart study strategy, you can master this section. GK is a scoring area, once prepared systematically, it gives you an edge not only in Prelims but also in Mains and even the Interview stage.
